GTA Appointment Information

The University of Kansas is a world-renowned teaching and research institution. As a GTA you will play an integral role at KU. In order to prepare for your exciting new position you must make sure you fulfill all university and departmental obligations and complete all necessary paperwork. Please read all the following required information for GTAs.

Training for New GTAs

All new GTAs must complete a two part training series consisting of: 1) an online tutorial completed via Blackboard; and 2) an approved training program. New GTAs in the departments of Communication Studies, English, and French & Italian complete a training program provided by their department. All other GTAs must attend the New GTA Conference and a follow-up session hosted by the Center for Teaching Excellence.
