ETDs and Digital Scholarship


Electronic submission and publication of dissertations and theses is part of a larger shift toward digital formats in scholarly communication. Digital scholarship offers opportunities for wider dissemination, greater visibility for authors and their institutions, and enhanced expressiveness by including primary data or rich media like audio and video.
